David Doty To Be
Resource Person
Bellaire City Maager,
David H. Doty has accepted
the invitation of the Inter-
national City Management
Association to participate as
a Resource Person and
Session Leader at the 61st
Annual City Managers'
Conference in Seattle, Sept-
ember 28 through October 2.
Doty’s portion of the
program “Computers in
Small Cities,” will be one of
sixteen sessions scheduled
under the practical applica-
tion section, aptly entitled
“Nuts and Bolts." Due to
anticipated interest, this
session will be presented
twice.
The International City
Management Association, a
professional organization of
chief-appointed manage
ment executives in local
government, currently has
over 5,000 active members.
It is anticipated that there
will be over 3,000 partici-
pants in the 61st Annual
Convention.
Doty, an I.C.M.A. mem-
ber since 1964, is also a
member of the American
Political Science Associa-
tion, American Society of
Public Administration, and
the Texas City Management
Association. He previously
served as Vice President
and President of the Kansas
City Management
Association.
Dan Morris
Dies In London
Bellaire resident Dan
Morris of 4808 Holt St.,
died suddently on Septem-
ber 16, while visiting in his
native London. He had lived
in Bellaire for the last 15
years, and was a member of
the HiBernian Society.
Survivors include his
daughters Ms. Margaret
Morrell, a Mini-Skool em-
ployee, and Ms. Claire Liu,
both of whom reside in San
Francisco.
Morris was furr'ed in
London.

Officer recently. Police
Chief John H. Wheatley
presented Badge #3 to
wesley after he was inform-
ed that the child had
terminal leukemia and one of
his wishes was to have a
“real live police badge."
Wesley received the
badge and Badge Holder
Identification Card prior to
checking into Texas
Children’s Hospital for fur-
ther treatment. For the
ceremony, he wore a hat
