Rankin Attends
International
Conference
John D. Rankin, minister of
the Unity Church of Christianity,
2825 Hillcroft, is in Portland,
Oregon this week at the confer-
ence of the International New
Thought Alliance. Metaphysical
leaders from all over the world,
including 37 delegates from South
Africa, are attending this annual
meeting to exchange ideas on the
application of modern religion
to modern living.
Allston Completes
USAF Training
Airman Robert T. Allston, son
of Robert H. Allston of 8422
Roos, has completed U.S. Air
Force basic training at Lack-
land AFB, Tex. He is being as-
signed to Keesler AFB, Miss.,
for training in the communica-
tions electronics field. Airman
Allston, a 1969 graduate of Ro-
bert E. Lee High School, attended
North Texas State University and
Sam Houston State University.

Bellaire Day Antique Flea Mar-
ket the success that it was.
We estimated an unexpected
crowd of 7500 visitors to the
flea market and arts and crafts
show and hope that this will be-
come a yearly affair.

Reservations For
Annual Camp
Reservations are now being
accepted at Easter Seal Center,
3839 Morningside, for the annual
Easter Seal Camp for physically
handicapped youngsters and
adults.
This was announced today by
Dr. Jacqueline Gleckler, execu-
tive director, EasterSealSociety
for Crippled Children & Adults
of Harris County.
“The annual camp out will be
held at Camp Easter Seal at Con-
roe from Aug. 12 through Aug. 19
for children aged eight to nine-
teen,” Dr. Gleckler stated.
"A second camp out session
for handicapped adults will be
held from Aug. 20 through 22,”
she added.
The theme of this year’s Eas-
ter Seal camp out will be "Fron-
tier Daze” and further informa-
tion may be had by calling Eas-
ter Seal Center, JA 2-1071,
The summer camp out ses-
sion is one of the recreational
and instructional activities con-
ducted by the Easter Seal So-
ciety on an all year program ba-
sis and is made possible through
the once a year fund raising cam-
paign before Easter. .
