Church held their annual
luncheon meeting Tues-
day at the home of Mrs.
W.D. Kimrey at 107 N.
Houston Street.
A program on Prayer
was presented by Mrs.
Mary Rachael and the
group enjoyed a sing-
song prior to the
meeting.
The members and
several guests from other
churches attended the
meeting.

Services Held
Friday For
Mrs. Mary Knight
Funeral services for
Mrs. Mary Ruth Knight
were held at 4 p.m. Fri-
day at the Cedar Hill
Church of Christ with
Mr. James Medford offi-
ciating. Burial was at
Shiloh Cemetery in Ovil-
la under the direction of
Coward Funeral Home of
Midlothian.
Mrs. Knight was born
Mary Ruth Rust on April
13, 1890 at Ovilla in
Ellis County. She lived
in Ovilla until 1925
when she moved to Ced-
ar Hill.
She was a teacher in
the school at Onward,
between Cedar Hill and
Midlothian
She was proceded in
death by her husband,
King Charles Knight, in
1967. She was a member
of the Cedar Hill Church
of Christ and was active
in the Ladies Bible
Class as long as she
was able.
Survivors include
seven sons, Jewel
Knight, Bryan Knight,
Wilson Knight, W.C.
Knight and Travis
Knight of Cedar Hill;
Robert Knight and Alfred
Knight of Dallas; one
daughter, Mrs. J.R.
Wilson of Mansfield;
four brothers, Robert
Rust of Fort Worth, Al-
bert Rust and Floyd Rust

at the Merkel Church of
Christ is being planned
by Miss Becky Holloway
and Michael Wayne
McLean.
Miss Holloway, a
summer graduate of Ced-
ar Hill High School and
student at Mountain View
College, is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. M.G.
Holloway, 701 Briggs,
Cedar Hill.
Mr. McLean is attend-
ing LaMar University at
Beaumont and his frat-
ernity is Sigma Nu. He
is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar McLean of Merkel.

Jimmy Kemp has o-
pened an office at 109A
North Main Street for his
custom building and con-
crete foundation work.
Mr. Kemp has been
building homes in the
Kingswood Addition for
the past six months and
has five new homes
under construction at
this time.
Kemp and his father-
in-law, J.E. Bramlett of
Midlothian are in part-
nership in the home
building business and
Kemp conducts his own
concrete foundation
business.
Plans are underway
for building a new office
building in Cedar Hill,
also.
Kemp, his wife,
Donna, and their new,
Texas size son, James
Stanley, live at 1027
Randy Road in the Kings-
wood Addition.
