Private Cabrera of Buck-
holts is in basic training at Camp
Roberts, Calif.
Pvt. Cabrera, whose father re-
sides on Route 1, Buckholts, has
been assigned to Btry. “C", 440th
AFA Bn., Div. Arty, at Camp
Roberts.
Camp Roberts’ primary mission
is to produce the best combat in-
fantrymen possible. Toward this
end, the camp is using a new sys-
tem called Division Faculty. The
instructors in this unit are se-
lected for their initiative, abil-
ity, knowledge of military sub-
jects and experience. They are
combat veterans, college gradu-
ates and former college and high
school instructors.
Camp Roberts is located about

San Francisco. It is the home of

Most forage crops in the state
are taking a beating from the

when these crops, including corn
