It is hoped that enlistments will
be received from all parts of Milam
County.

Mrs. Thelma Armstrong has pur-
chased the Palace of Eats formerly
owned by Raymond Fikes.
Mrs. Armstrong closed the cafe
for several days to make new ar-
rangement of the equipment and to
put the cafe in better order and has
now re-opened the cafe.
The cafe will be under the personal
supervision and operation of Mrs.
Armstrong who has had considerable
experience. She invites her friends
and the customers of the cafe and
the public to visit the cafe and to
take advantage of its fine foods.

Nearly 2,000,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Senior Scouts will
observe the 37th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America dunus
Boy Scout Week, Feb. 7th to 13th. Through their World Friendship
Fund of voluntary gifts the Boy Scouts of America have given $110,-
464.36 to help Boy Scouts overseas rebuild their organizations.
During the first year of their “Shirts-Off-Our-Backs” project more
than 400 cases—or twenty tons—of Scout Uniforms^ and equip-
ment collected from Scouts were contributed to Scouts in 13
nations. Scouting has always been an active force in promoting
better understanding and mutual goodwill among the nations. Above
