You are hereby commanded to
summon Clara James by making pub-
lication of this citation once In each
week for four sucesalvo weeks pre-
vious to the return day hereof, In
some newspaper published in your
county. If there be a newspaper pub-
lished therein, but If not, then In any
newspaper published In the Thirty-
fourth Judicial District: but If there
be nm newspaper .published in said
judicial district, then in a newspa-
per published In the nearest district
to said Thirty-fourth Judicial Dis-
trict, to appear at the next regular
term of the district court of El Paso
county, to be halden at the court
house thereof, In El Paso on the first
Monday In November, 1905, the same
being the fith day of November, 1905,
then and there to answer a petition
filed In said court on the 5th day of
October, 1905 In a suit, numbered
on the docket of said court No. 5794,
wherein H. K. James is plaintiff and
Clara James Is defendant, and said
petition, alleging that plaintiff is a
bona fide resident oi the state of
Texas, and has lived In El Paso coun-
ty for more thhti six months next pre-
ceding the filing of this petition;
that on or about June Gtb. 1904, In
the city of East St. Louis in the state
of Illinois, plaintiff was lawfully mar-
ried to defendant; that they contin-
ued to live together as husband and
wife until on or about the first day
of January, A. D. 1905; plaintiff al-
leges that during the time he and
defendant lived together as aforesaid
he was kind and affectionate to her.
and always provided liberally tor her
support and maintenance, but that de-
fendant unmindful of the duties of
her marital vows, shortly after they
were married as aforesaid, began a
course of cruel and outrageous treat-
ment, which continued to the time of
their separation: that she often used
abusive language to this plaintiff with
no provocation whatever: that on or
about the 15th day of December, 1904,
the defendant, after using abusive
language to and concerning plaintiff,
threatened to take the life of this
plaintiff; that a few days subsequent
to said day and date In the presence
of the family of this plaintiff cursed
and abused this plaintiff and threat-
ened to take the life of this plaintiff
In the presence and hearing of plain-
tiff’s mother; that plaintiff hatt not
condoned her sinco that date; that
since the first day of January, 1905,
plaintiff lost all trace of said defend-
ant, and at this ttme does not know
‘-efr-her whereabouts; that the mar-
riage relations still exist,, wherefore
plaintiff prays that, defendant be
cited to appear and answer herein,
and for Judgment dissolving said mar-
riage relation for cost of suit, and
for such other and further relief as
he may he entitled, etc.
Herein fall not, hut have you before
Haid court, at Its aforesaid next regu
lar term, this writ, with your return
thereon, showing how you have exe-
cuted the same.

Club Women of Buckeye State.
Zanesville, (),, Oct. 25.—If an inter-
esting program and a large at tendance
are the essential factors the eleventh
annual convention of the Ohio Feder-
ation of Women's clubs is sure to be
one of .the most successful In its his-
tory. Every arriving train today
brought its quota of delegates and at
noon It was given out at the conven-
tion headquarters that the regia: rat ion
amounted to more than 400 delegates,
representing chilis In almost every
large city and town of the state. The
visitors found the most elaborate plans
made for their recaption and entertain-
ment. The formal opening of the gath-
ering takes place this evening. Mrs,
