THE WYUE MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE PRESENTS...
Good News!
This week s guest writer is Rev. L Chancy Gore,
pastor of Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in
Wylie and a member of the Write Ministerial
Alliance
“I’m on my way home!”
Our firs! soy in the hospital with our newborn son was one of great
struggle, van and heartbreak As I tried my best to share the pain with
little I andon Paul, the Lord began to lay a poem on my heart to write for
our son I thought on it for a couple of days before I ever began to write.
I remember going with him almost everywhere he would be taken to get
blood work, shots, treatment and such Quite often I would look at him
in vide of the plastic tsolette box they had him in and try to feel the pain
mil try look at it all through his little eyes. 1 tried my best to see it
| through his perspective.
(Hie evening I began to wnle down this poem that 1 felt could proba-
bly express the way he felt, as well as those who are on their way to their
heavenly home to be with their heavenly father I hope it is a Messing to
vou.
I’M ON MY WAY HOME
l ife is a struggle from the very birth,
I've entered it with tearful pains of my own.
Yet I must always remember,
I’m on my way home.
I may not always understand.
Yet 1 know He’s holding my hand,
I ending me to places w here He has gone,
I will not let my heart be troubled,
For I’m on my way home.
though I walk through the valley
of tears, pain and blood •
I will not fear for I am never alone,
My trust is in thee O God,
for I’m on my way home.
Some day I will leave this place,
I will kx>k upon thy face,
I am awaiting to hear that certain tone,
for I’m on my way home
Soon I'll go with my father to a place
He's prepared to be my very own,
I'll go with him gladly,
for I’m on my way home.

EVALUATING
IMPLANTS
j Q. How effective and worth the
| cost are dental implants?
I A. With great frequency, news
! media herald the potential bene-
! tits of new wonder drugs, new
I medical procedures and other
’ means of remedying health prob-
| lems Dental implants now have
been in use long enough to judge
their pros and cons.
The implants are natural-looking
substitutes for missing teeth.
I hey are fastened to tiny metal
receptacles which are anchored in
supporting bone of the jaw. Some
drawbacks: You can't have an
implant if supporting hone is
inadequate. If you qualify, the
process tikes several months—to
implant the base, allow the gum
to heal, then install the tooth.
And the procedure costs much
more than other methods of
replacing a tooth. On the plus
side, implant teeth look and per-
form more like real teeth and are
more secure than other tooth
replacements.

Oi
ne of the proof texts for those who embrace the theory that
Jesus will come to earth again, establish his kingdom and reign
for a thousand years is Revelation 20:1-6. This being the case,
let us look at the passage.
First there is absolutely nothing about Christ coming again. Second,
there is absolutely nothing about a thousand year reign on the earth.
Third, this passage is not addressing the reign OF Christ but a reign
WITH Christ. Fourth, while this passage does speak of a thousand year
reign, WE, none of us now living, are in it.
Observe carefully who John saw reigning. “I saw the souls of them
that were lieheaded for the witness of Jesus, and which had not wor-
shiped the beast...” Now notice, “and THEY lived and reigned WITH
Christ a thousand years.” There is no “WE SHALE REKIN.” It is
“I HEY LIVED AND REIGNED.” “They" has reference to the ones
who were lieheaded because of their faith.
Notice also the tease of the verbs. “LIVED” and “REIGNED” are
verbs of past tease. There are no future verbs. This passage is address-
ing the fact that those who ‘WERE BEHEADED (past tease) LIVED
AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST. It is not Christ shall reign over his
kingdom at some future date. In addition, the verbs “lived” and
“reigned" are both limited by the thousand years. If the thousand years
is literal, when the thousand years are over, they would cease to live and
reign. This contradicts our Lord’s promise of an eternal, never ending
life.
Of course, the very first verse of the first chapter tells us the revela-
tion will lie in figurative language. It is not reasonable to take the thou
sand years literally and the rest of the passage figuratively. In
Deuteronomy 7:9, we are told that God keeps his covenant and mercy
unto a thousand generations. We all know this Ls not literal. It is figu-
rative and meaas God's memory of and faithfulness to his covenant
and mercy are perfect and complete. The expression “thousand” Ls a
figure of completeness, not a cycle of time. If the thousand years is lit-
eral, the beheading Ls literal and WE are eliminated. If the thousand
years is figurative, the beheading is figurative and WE are still elimi
nated. Either way, none of us now living are in Revelation 20.
Revelation 20:1-6 does not mention the second coming of Christ. It
does not mention a bodily resurrection. It does not mention a reign on
earth. Furthermore, it does not mention the throne of David. It does
not mention either Jerusalem, or Palestine. It does not mention Christ
on earth. It mentioas none of the theories embraced by those who
believe Christ will come again, establish his kingdom and reign a thou-
sand years on the earth. The millennium theory originated in the mind
of man and is false.
In I Corinthiaas 15:24-26, we learn that Christ is now reigning on
this throne and will reign until the end of time. He will then deliver the
kingdom to the Father. This kingdom Ls in existence now and exists in
the hearts of men and women who obey Jesus. (Ek. 6:46; 17:20, 21)
