ATTEND MEETING
Challenging high school grad-
uating classes to be the honest
and outstanding citizens of to-
morrow, Mr. Thomas Cameron,
president of District Ten of the
Texas State Teachers Associa-
tion, spoke to Future Home-
makers of America at an area
meeting in Waco on Saturday,
March 18.
Mr. Cameron chose as his
topic, “Individuality Counts” to
carry out the theme of the
meeting, “FHA Comes of Age.”
Eight members of the Junior
and Senior Councils of the lo-
cal FHA Chapter attended the
meeting. Accompanying the
girls were Mrs. Dorothy Nichols
and Mrs. Jane Baden.

for the Junior-Senior Prom on

LECTURES AT BAYLOR
SET FOR APRIL 25
To increase their understand-
ing of nuclear science, physics
and chemistry students will at-
tend lectures on atomic energy
at Baylor on April 25. The stu-
dents will learn about the nu-
clear sciences through first
hand contact with state and
national leaders in the field.
Several speakers will lecture
on the different aspects of
atomic energy. Dr. Norman
Rostoker will come from Cali-
fornia to speak with Dr. R. E.
Walnedi from A&M and Dr. W.
F. Guy from the University of
Texas.
These lectures are sponsored
by Texas Power and Light Co.
and are to be held on the Baylor
University Campus. At the last
Series of lectures in 1961 about
1,000 students attended.
MRS. COX TO GIVE
DEMONSTRATION TO
HE III STUDENTS
Mrs. Beverly Cox, co-owner of
David and Beverly Beauty Sa-
lon with her husband will give
self-improvement demonstra-
tions to Mrs. Nichols Home-
making ni students April 10.
First she will demonstrate the
correct way to apply make-up,
and will explain about nutrients
especially needed in hair and
facial care. Mrs. Cox will then
show the girls how to care for
their hair and show them the
type of hairstyles best suited
for their faces. The girls also
hope to try on some of the falls
and wigs she will bring.

Talent Show To
Be In Hillsboro
Area high school and junior
college students have been in-
vited to audition for a talent
show scheduled for April 18 in
the Hillsboro High School Audi-
torium.
Sponsored by Hill Junior Col-
lege Forum and Sigma Phi O-
mega organizations, the per-
formance is set to begin at 7:30
p.m. Prizes will be awarded for
the best performances.
Auditions are set for April 14
in the high school auditorium
beginning at 2 p. m. Judges on
the audition panel are Hill So-
cial Science Instructor Miss Jew-
el Hudler, chairman; Business
Instructor Bernard Carey. West
sophomores Charles Nemec and
Louanne Shelnut; and Waco
freshman Kenneth Zimmerman
and Billy West.
Admission is 50 cents for
