the proud parents of a baby boy
born Wednesday, Jan. 18 in a
Dallas hospital. He has been
named Ronnie. Grandparents

grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Kocian of Penelope and
Mrs. Daniel of Malone.
Ronnie Lucko celebrated his
birthday, Wednesday, Jan. 18.

make their home in Penelope.
Mr. Roy Dodson and Mrs.
Danny Davis attended a wed-
ding of a niece Friday in Texas

The Penelope Fire Depart-
ment and the Hubbard Fire De-
partment were called out Sun-
day afternoon to put out a grass
fire at Birome, which threaten-
ed several buildings. The fire
burned all around the workshop
of Mr. Frank Roskydal, however
no damage was done to the
building.

Those visiting Mr. and Mrs.
A. A. Lucko Sunday afternoon
were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie
Lucko, Mrs, Monthie and Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Luco and family
all of Fort Worth. Mr. and Mrs.

bard also visited them.

Breckenridge on Jan. 17th of

liams, who passed away in a
Brackenridge hospital on Sun-
day, Jan. 15th, at the age of 62.
He is survived by his wife, two
sons, Glen and Jimmie Wil-
liams of Salmis, Calif., and
Shirley Williams of Abilene and
a sister, Mrs. Hattie Murphy of
West.

World’s Original
Indoor Rodeo Set
For Jan. 27 - Feb. 5
With the nation’s top bucking
stock . . . and entry list of over
450 contestants . . . the rodeo
purse of more than $75,000 in
prize money and entry fees the
1967 edition of the “World’s
Original Indoor Rodeo” is all
set to get underway Friday, Jan.
27.
Four of the current reigning
rodeo event World Champions
will be on hand for the ten-day
rodeo, Jan. 27 through Feb. 5.
Heading the list of contestants
is 1966 All-Around Champion
Cowboy, Larry Mahan of Brooks,
Oregon. Mahan became the
third cowboy in the history of
the Rodeo Cowboys Association,
and the first in over a decade,
to earn more than $40,000 in
one season. The last cowboy to
earn that amount was Jim
Shoulders in 1956 when he won
three World Champion titles.
Other 1966 World Champions
competing are: Junior Garrison,
Marlow, Okla., calf roping;
Paul Mayo, Grinnell, Iowa,
bareback bronc riding; Ronnie
Rossen, Broadus, Mont., Bull
riding; and Marty Wood, Bow-
ness, Alberta, Canada, saddle
bronc riding. Also competing
will be the RCA Rookie of the
Year for 1966, Tony Haberer,
Muleshoe, Texas.

Fort Worth Rodeo will be fur-
nished by rodeo producer Tom-
my Steiner and Associates of
Austin.

That W-2 tax form is a migh-
ty important document!
According to Walter H. Hill,
administrative officer of In-
ternal Revenue Service, Waco,
refunds cannot be paid without
required W-2 withholding tax
certificates and credit cannot
be given for taxes withheld.
Taxpayers were also remind-
ed that in preparing a joint
1966 return, where both parties
worked, W-2’s for each must be
attached. And when either or
both parties filing a return held
more than one job during the
year, all W-2’s must be attach-
ed.
A taxpayer who has not re-
ceived his W-2 Form should
