entered the Pampa Jaycee Track
meet Saturday, June 7. Participants
were from Borger, Canyon, White
Deer, Skellytown, Pampa and Le-
fors.
Stephen was entered in the 15-16
year olds, winning 4 blue ribbons:
events were 100 yd. dash, time 10.8;
220 yd1, dash with time of 23.0; 440
yd. dash 55.8.
John was entered in the 17-18 year
old group. He placed 2nd in the 220
yd. dash; tied for 1st in the high
jump; 3rd in the mile run and 3rd
in discus. A 440 yard relay team
composed1 of Cornwell, Langston and
two Pampa youth also resulted in
another 1st place.
Bob Dykes At Boys State
AUSTIN, June 7 — The twenty-
ninth annual American Legion Boys
State sponsored by the Department
of Texas land held on the Campus
of the University of Texas, got un-
der way today as 750 high school
boys from all parts of Texas began
registration.

ert Olay Dykes of White Deer spon-
sored by the local American Legion
