Kiwanis Korner with Corsicana Visitors
Meeting at noon at
Double D Restaurant, lo-
cal Kiwanis Club members
enjoyed a somewhat im-
promptu meeting.
Buster Atkeisson had
previously asked Navarro
County Judge Alan Bristol
to speak about redistrict-
ing. Bristol, along Com
missioners William Bald-
win and John Paul Ross, had
a meeting with Daryl
Schliem, Corsicana Area
Chamber of Commerce, to
tour the new Wal-Mart fa-
cility. (Which Bristol says is
"awesome".) Near the end of
the meeting the Judge
looked at his watch and said,
"Oh, I need to be in
Kerens." The others said
"We'll just join you." And
they did.
Bristol talked briefly
about the redistricting of
precincts in our area.
Schleim added a most
optimistic report on
things happening in
Corsicana and the surj
round area.
