m Wa,
I ’ll never forget the day my brother
l * came to visit from back east. We didn't
jk 'Ijm have a phone back then so he had to
9 give us all the details of his visit by
RnF| f mail. We were supposed to meet him at
ffiif the train station ttie lowing Saturday
at 2 in the afternoon. Well, we got up
Jk that mornin3 3,1 exc*ted and ready to head
■f/f for the train station. We were there well
before 2 and waited for him to arrive. Then the
Train came in and he wasn’t on it. We were really
disappointed and just a little worried. Without a phone
he couldn’t call us and no letter had come. We drove
back into town to wait on the next train at 5 pm. When
he wasn’t on that train either we headed home, a
L tired and dejected family. We pulled into the
fel s driveway and there he was sitting on
mk a suitcase up on the porch. He
t 1 had missed a connection and
had come in on the 4:00
' \ bus. Since we weren’t
around it cost him $30
fora taxi just to get to
+ t our house. We have a
j;: phone now... so I
know that will never
happen again.
