Emily Collier Wilemon

Gayle B. Quinn
Gayle B. Quinn, 63, of Kerens, TX passed away on Janu-
ary 5, 2006 at Navarro Regional Hospital. Funeral ser-
vices were held on January 7, 2005 at the Kerens First
Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Johnson officiating. Burial
was at the Kerens Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Ray
Quinn, David Ray Quinn, Joe Graves, Chris Quinn, Melvin
Colvin, Kyle Glicksman and Larry Fields. Honorary Pall-
bearers were George Quinn and Grady Quinn.
Gayle B. Quinn was bom on March 24,1942 in Dallas,
TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Ruth
Quinn.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Quinn of Kerens, TX;
daughter, Christina Thomas of Kerens, TX; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Jeff and Janice Quinn of Kerens, TX; grand-
daughters, Jessica and Daphne Thomas of Mildred, TX;
Brook and Daisy Quinn of Kerens, TX; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Larry and Sue Quinn of Longview, TX; and
nephews, Caleb and Jeremy Quinn of Longview, TX.
Nannie Jones
Nannie Jones, 94, resident of Kerens, TX, passed away
on January 7, 2006 at the Kerens Care Center. Funeral
services were held on January 11, 2006 at the Kerens
First United Methodist Church with Rev. Claude Davison
officiating and Rev. Cathy Mordecai assisting. Burial ser-
vices were held at the Prairie Point Cemetery. Pallbear-
ers were Floyd Henderson, Charlie Hopmann, Jerry Gar-
rison, Bobby Kent, Kenneth Johnston and James Kelley.
Honorary Pallbearers were Sonny Bancroft, Kenneth
Lewis, Eddie McNeese, George Reagan, Kenneth
Scarbrough and The First United Methodist Mens Group.
Nannie Jones was born on September 12, 1911 in
Blooming Grove, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Jones
and son, Richard Fields.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry
and Brenda Fields of Kerens, TX; daughter-in-law,
Martha Fields of Kerens, TX; grandson, Gene Fields of
Kerens, TX; great granddaughter, Maryssa Fields of Min-
nesota; half brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Mar-
garet McClure of Corsicana, TX; half sister, Georgia Ann
Eggler of Balch Springs, TX and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Joanne Boucher Cook
Joanne Boucher Cook, 47, of Kerens, TX, passed away
on January 5, 2006 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in
Tyler. Funeral services were held on January 9, 2006 at
Paschal Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wes Johnson officiat-
ing, Interment followed at Prairie Point Cemetery. Pall-
bearers were family members.
Joanne yvas bom on April 23,1958 in Inglewood, Cali-
fornia. She had led a varied life, working as an apartment
leasing agent, the, general manager of the Corsicana Long
John Silver’s restaurant, and as a daughter, mom, grand-
mother and wife. She had been a homemaker for the past
several years.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Fred Hall.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Loyd Cook
of Kerens, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Joe and
Gayla Boucher of Kerens, TX and Billy and Jessie Spears
of Hawaii; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Drew
Walker of Waco, TX; mother, Bobbie Hall of Wills Point,
TX; father, Joseph Boucher of Senecca, S.C.; sister, Debra
Lide of Wills Point, TX; brother, Stan Hash of Dallas,TX;
mother-in-law, Sammye Cook of Kerens, TX; sister-in-
law and husband, Lori and Johnny Hobbs of Kerens, TX;
grandmother-in-law, Aliene Robertson of Kerens, TX;
special friend, Chris Jones of Corsicana, TX; seven grand-
children; and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and
friends.

Emily Collier Wilemon, 96, passed away on December
24,2005 in Clifton. Funeral services were held at the Green-
wood Chapel. Burial services were at the Maypearl Cem-
etery in Maypearl, TX.
Emily Collier Wilemon was bom on January 19,1909 in
Troup, TX to Lucy and J. D. Collier. She was the third of
six children who grew up in Troup, a small town in East
Texas. Her father, a local merchant, and her mother, a home-
maker, instilled in Emily a love of education and a strong
work ethic.
At age 16, Emily went to attend college at Mary Hardin-
Baylor. She had never been away from home before. She
received a degree in English, but she loved other languages,
studying Latin and Spanish.
She started teaching in Kerens where she met “Coach”
Graydon Wilemon. They were married in 1933 and had
three children. He later became the Superintendent of the
Kerens schools. After raising their children, Emily returned
to college and obtained her master’s of library science de- nmm** ^ ■—»u -

Graydon maintained a wonderful garden and, much to ^ W
Emily’s delight, there were roses in the vase and tomatoes Monday, January 16
on the kitchen counter. Emily and Graydon always had their School Holiday,
extended family over for Christmas Eve. Emily baked rolls Tuesday, January 17
from scratch and made peach preserves for her friends and Breakfast: Biscuits, Sausage, Cereal, Milk, Juice,

She is survived by her children, Sandra and Jack; grand-
children, Jack Jr., Will, Rene’, Mike Jr., Brian, Lisa, Greg,
Jeff and Susan; five great grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.

Your kind expression of sympathy is deeply appreci-
ated during the illness and loss of Gayle. Thank you so
much for your prayers, food, flowers, cards and contin-
ued concern for him. A special thanks to Dr. John
Sawtelle, Dr. Kent Rogers, Kerens Care Center employ-
ees, Emma Jean Betts and Frances Bailey for their lov-
ing care. The words of comfort of Bro. Wes Johnson
and Ronnie Byrd will always be cherished.
