When you hit around that sixth week of the cycle—and you are
more or less convinced that you have crawled oyer the entire state of
Texas—and you’ve been working almost night and day—having no
time to get out—you begin to wonder about all of this publicity about
the beautiful state of Texas.
Now this page is published for the fellows who are in that sixth
week—and haven’t had a chance to see what Texas has.
(Upper left) The Mineral Wells Country Club—which is available to
all soldiers of Wolters. (Center left) A beautiful spot for a picnic sur-
rounded by natural beauty, and only a half-hours jaunt from camp.
(Lower left) A convenient lake for all fishermen, which is located on
the Country Club Course.
(Upper right) This shot was taken from a Texas mountain ridge, only
three miles from town. (Center left) A few miles out on the road to
Palo Pinto is this retreat, visited every week-end by “outers” from
Wolters.
(Lower right) Here is the city of Mineral Wells that you Lave writ-
ten “Mom” so much about. Picture was taken from East Mountain,
i _ which overlooks the city. (Signal Corps Photo)
