"failed and refused" to operate passen-
ger traina Nos. 17 and SOS tn accordance
with the provisions of this order. Aa to
train No. 17 the order of the commis-
sion shows that on over twenty-five
times during the month of Novemben.

hours between Canyon City and Plain-
view. The commission sets forth each
time and the hours and minutes In which
it la claimed this train operated behind
tba achedule time. As to train No. (OS
It ia shown that thia train baa been late
according to the figures of the commis-
sion over twenty times during the
month of December between Lubbock
and Lamesa all the way from forty min-
utes to three hours.

construction on ths proposed Nueces River
Valley -railroad from Eagle Pass to the
gulf a distance ot Z7S miles' will be com-
Nenced within ninety days' according to
B. M. Buck of BeevlIIe secretary of the
.Nueces River Valley Railroad company
charter of which was filed last March
when the residents of South Texas started
an agitation for auch a line. ' Mr. Buck
while In Austin said that contracts for
financing ths building of the road had
been aigned and that although the con-
tract called for work to be commenced
within three months everything was In
readiness and that the building of the road
probably would be commenced much
sooner.
Because of the desire to extend the road
on to the rulf instead of ha vine- tha ter

of the builders is to. extend the roada to

road pass through Tart a small town on
tha Taft ranch owned by Charles Taft.
Thia is desired Inasmuch as It will give
connection with the packing plant at
Taft to ranches In South Texas.
