important Notice. .
Labels and sales slips are pouring Into
the contest department of late In such
large quantities and by so many contest-
ants that the work of listing and totaling
has become an enormous task. The
crowded condition of the contest depart-
ment haa' therefore caused the cosnest
manager to do considerable planning In
order to devise methods whereby .con-
testants can be accommodated in the
best manner possible and as a personal
request he asks contestants bringing In
labels and sales slips to kindly arrange
their labels In assorted packages so that
they may be oounted without the delay
of assorting which consumes a great deal
of time.
If contestnats will observe and abide
by the following Instructions the work of
counting and totaling labels and sales
slips will be simplified to a great extent
and the results will be more pleasing to
all concerned:
1. Have all the different labels as-
sorted In packages separating the differ-
ent sizes; when more than one aise Is
listed such as syrup which Includes one
quart one-half gallon and one gallon
labels.
2. Flour and feed sacks should be
separated and should not be packed full
of small labels and sales slips as in so
doing the labels become considerably
mussed and are not pleasant to handle.
3. In turning In large quantities of
sales slips they should be accompanied
by a statement giving the total amount
of the entire lot In order that the con-
test clerks can check their count with
that of the contestants.
4. Turn In all the labels and sales
slips you have two or three times a week
as no greater number of votes will be al-
lowed on them than what will be issued
at the present time. If you do not wish
the votes to appear in the paper at once
a ballot will be Issued for the amount you
turn in which will be good at any time
before the close of the contest.
5. AYhenever It Is possible have a list
of the number of different labels and the
total amount of your sales slips accom-
pany each lot turned In as this will
avoid all possible chance of an error on
the part of the contest clerks as well
as the contestants. Organlzatlonse should
have their labels and sales slips .turned
over to the committees v here they should
be assorted before turning them in to the
contest office
Remember that no one Is compelled to
abide by the above Instructions but in
order to get the best and most accurate
results the aboe course should be pur-
sued. Any additional Information regarding
the matTer will be cheerfully given by
applying to the contest department.
Send In Your Photograph.
YVe "ill be pleased to publish the pic-
tures of any contestants who desire and
who will send us one of their latest pho-
tographs. Any organization sending in a
picture of their school church library or
group of officers can have a reproduction
of same published in the contest columns
of The Post without any extra charge.

ager. Houston Post. Houston. Texas for
