The meeting of the faculty was called to order by Presi-
dent Beto at 7:35 P. M. The minutes of the previous meetings
were read and corrected. In reporting on suggestions in pre-
vious meetings regarding students whose academic standing has
been doubtful President Beto mentioned the following:
Student - His aunts with whom he lives have
Indicated his unfortunate background. In a conference
with the PresidentBachle affirmed that he does not plan
to return after the sophomore high school year.
Student - Mention was made that the latter
intended to apprize his parents at Christmastide of the
possibility of making an adjustment by dropping from
Concordia for a year. Such a period for maturation
might be feasible and worthwhile.
Student - The discussion revealed that
Childs can produce academically. Problematic family
background and a lack of personal initiative constitute
his difficulty.
The cases of the aforementioned students, along with others,
can be presented at a meeting of the faculty near the semester's
end.
The Athletic Policies of the Intercollegiate Athletic
Program for the High School and Junior College of Concordia,
defined by Messrs. Eifert and Linse, was presented by the latter,
discussed and amended by the faculty and adopted. The details
of the policy follow:
