President Beto then mentioned that plans to discontinue
his studies at the semester's end.
, suspended at the meeting on December 18,
has requested permission to fulfil requirements for his courses
in order to receive credit for the first semester. The request
was granted.
Pastor Oscar Feucht will be with us on February 4+ and 5 to
encourage participation in the Bible Study Advance. He will
speak in chapel, address the classes in religion and meet with
the faculty on the former date at 8:00 P. M.
The Student Council and the Student Body generally have been
complaining about disfigured desks in Kramer Hall. Instructors
are urged to warn students to abstain from malicious or thought-
less destruction of synodical property.
One faculty member was concerned about apathetic attitudes
of our students. Others wondered whether or not our students were
doing enough work. After a bit of discussion on these and related
problems it was decided to recall these questions again at the
semester's end.
The college cut system and varied ramifications of the same
were presented again. The faculty clarified and reaffirmed the
policy. A student is permitted the number of cuts equal to the
semester hours in any course. Any cuts beyond that number, for
any reason whatever, call for extra work if the student is to
receive full credit for the course. An instructor can demand
satisfactory makeup work for any cut.The next faculty meeting was scheduled for January 26, at
4: 00 P. M.
