Dear Brother Beto:
The delay in making allowance for Summer Repairs
again wae due, as usual, to the fact that some Insti-
tutions did not send in their lists in time. The total
now requested is about $200,000.00, and in view of the
present unsatisfactory financial outlook of Synod, the
Board has ordered a 25$ cut of the figure. Naturally
I will have to cut some of the Institutions more than
that, but I am herewith deducting from your total only
the 25$, namely $1856. I would advise that you try to
meet this figure by revising your figures on painting,
lights, and expanding on toilet facilities.
The preliminary plans of the Library Building will
be returned to you as soon as I find time to get around
to the matter. I was in no hurry, because I feel that
it will take some time to work the proper arrangements
in the matter of the Hirschi donation.
With sincerest greeting®
Paul Schulz, Chairman
Committee on Colleges
