a fall down stunt that is patterned after the flops of Harry English o n the regular Majeetie bill this week. Roy Elliot and Collins Jones
contributed a balancing and strong man act. Doris Wilson and OIlie Lee Williams were next with a song and dance act.
While the performers were putting away the fried chicken and tr lmmlngs a harmonica sextette turned In "Home Sweet Home." After
the "feed" ete Purcell who manages the act gave the history of each member. Tony Soucek. 22 Inches tall was the center of interest.

Have 'North of
36' Film Story
The December Issue of "Screen-
land" a motion picture magazine wjll
contain a story of (he filttjing of Rtn-
erson Hough's "North of 35." Guy
McUngblin of Hebston is-the author
of the article.
The article is an intimate charac-
ter study of the movie folks who
visited HouMton in connection with the
filming of the picture.
After the story had been filmed last
summer Mr. McLaughlin wrote a story
of the movie colony at the BtiRsett
Blakely ranch which was published in
the Houston Post-Dispatch. The edi-
tor of "Screenlund" saw the news-
paper story aoil wired Mr. McLaugh-
lin to prepare an article for the magazine.

JUDGE REFUSES
TO OUASH CHARGE
Motions to quash the search war
raats in the Wallace W. Wolters
and Tom W. Bussey liquor cases
were overruled by Federal Judge
J. C Hutcbesou in court Tuesday.
In passing on tbe Wolters case
the court ruled that hereafter tbe
commissioner should take addreaaes
of persons siguing affidavits oa
whirs search warrants are to be Is-
sued. Testimony developed that the ma-
jority of the search warrant affi-
davits were signed by one man who
was not produced at tbe hearing by
the government. Lawyers for the
defense charged thnt the name signed
to the affidavits was s fictitious one.
No proof wsi offered that the signer
of affidavits was fictitious.

Plant Injures Knee
E. A. Parker 1012 Chartres street

Power company sustained a bruised
knee when he jumped from n second
story window at the new power pistil
about noon Tuesday. He was taken
to St Joseph's infirmary in a West-
heimer ambulance.
Parker had opened a valve in a
steam pipe and was forced to jump lo
keep from being acalded to death he
told hospital attendants.
