8. M. U. LINEUP CHANGED.
Better Showing Expected In Gam
Saturday at waco.
(Heart Ptst S trial.)
DALLAS Texas. October . Following
the Texas fame there have been numer
ous changes made in the 8. M. U. lineup.
Merrill who was quarterback on the
scrub team has been shifted to the var-
sity. A new trio of backs have been de-
veloped and the line with only a few ex-
ceptions has been shifted. These changes
indicate that Head Coach Morrison is de-
termined . to make a credible showing
against Baylor tomorrow.
Lionel f Red) Moise Is assisting Morrison
in rounding out the squad. Moise was
assistant coach at the Texas A. and M. la
114 and understands that branch of foot-
whtch Moran used so successfully
during the time he was chief mentor at
College 8 tattoo. Morrison is decidedly
reticent as regards the Baylor gum but
Moise openly expressed his opinion. He
gave out the following statement in an
interview:
'At last the team appears to have as
sumed a spirit of aggressiveness that la
half the battle In a game. For a time the
lack of this quality was keenly felt but
now that they have it a much better
showing is expected in Saturday's battle.
Today won out was very encouraging.

one Lonchom scalp. The followers ''of

classmen of every variety and graduates.
Southwestern conference ratings will not
be held to by Rice -the Owls not choosing
to come . under the requirements of the
Southwestern in regard to the barring of
freshmen' and graduates. '
The Texas team will meet the Rous-
tonlans sticking to the very letter on the
conference ruling and at the same time
basing their chance of the entire season
to run ud a handsome score on the work
of barely SO men. i
Coach Van Gent is far from optimistic
for he knows that he will bo at a dis
advantage during the game because of the
injuries of four men during recent scrim-
mages. Hanger is suffering from a boil
on his leg Lang has a bruised cartilage
on his left shoulder Leacfaman also has
bum shoulder snd several of the men
are rather stiff from the week's workout
