. i Tho first inning mighty nearly told the
! story of the first game. In this frame
ingles by Neusel. Hemingway and North-
. on mixed up with HollowajTa sacrifice
and Stellbauer's two-bagger scored three
Houston runs.
j: San Antonio canto back with one in her
half and for a few moments it looked
hopeful for they had Gene Moore aiming
em. Hetling'a walk. Perry's hit In the
hit-and-run play and a sacrifice fly by
Sicking counted the local tally. Then in
the second. Duffy took the crest for Hous-
ton and it waa just about over with the
exception of a few threats. Houston
scored again in the eighth on Hetllng a
error a single by Newnam and infield
taps by Stuart and Query. .
The second game saw Baggan atart
things with a two-bagger as Ant up for
.the locale. This sort of thing went on
ateadUy a hit by Porry a triple by Tar-
leton a two-bagger by Oberta and an
other by Perry making things lively for
Duffy.
In tho meanwhile the big Italian was
bewildering the opposition with his speed.
In the second and third Innings he fanned
lour In a row. Whether he later weak-
ened or merely let down at any rate
Houston pounded him steadily though in-
effectively. Not a man reached flrat base
n"1ilm Until one was out in the fiftp. x
Probably the feature play of the game
Was a delayed double steal worked by
. Baggan and Oberta on which the latter
cored easily. This was in tho fifth
Inning. .
In this game Baggan got four out of
(our and Oberta three out of tlireo while
Others bettered their batting averages at
a more moderate ellp. There was some
fast fielding on each side. Eddie Noyts.
aubblng for Pat Newnam at first base
did some neat scooping of low ones.
