amendments to be voted on and the fact
that many election officials were home be-
fore completing the count returns from
Arkansas are very fragmentary.
The returns received however indicate
that the State gave its usual majorities to
the democrats national congressional
and State candidates. They show that the
vote Is going about 3 to 1 against the
proposed amendment which would sub-
stitute local option for the present State-
wide prohibition.
