Fourth Birthday Anniversary.
Mrs. J. H. Cooke entertained about 30
little folk at her home on Thursday aft-
ernoon in honor of the fourth birthday
of her small daughter. Collier Claire
Cooke.
The house was gay with- red white and
blue 'and during the afternoon merry
games and contests with souvenirs award-
ed the luokv sruests rave diversion.
In the dining room the birthday cake
illuminated by four tiny white tapers
rested on a flag on the table which was
covered with a tissue cloth bordered with
Mother Goose Diet urea.
Heaped about the cake were red white
and blue candles supporting little suxen
flames souvenirs for the meats. Cream.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Granger will en
tartain with a box . party at the Queen
early on Saturday evening in honor of
their brother and sister Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Bens of Tuscon Aris." The other
guests will be Miss Myrtle Harper and
Sidney Grainger and after the picture
the party will motor to Sylvan Beach for
supper.

An Important eased meeting of all
members of the United Daughters of
Confederacy will be held Tuesday after-

A quiet wedding took place Saturday
afternoon at 3 o'clock in the parlor of
the Rice uniting In marriage Miss Hasel
Kaufmac to Donald H. Lee of Detroit
Mich. Rev. John E. Green officiating.
The bride was attended by her sister.
Miss Lucille Kaufman and the former
carried a white kid bible which Mrs.
Hiram Hucheraon a close friend also a
recent bride had carried at her wedding.
The bride has recently returned from
Detroit and her marriage will be a sur-
prise to her many friends. Mr. and Mra.
Lee have rone to Galveston for a short
stay.
Birthday Party.
A pleasant surprise party was given
Mrs. Pete Bauman Wednesday In recogni-
tion of her seventy-Sixth birthday. Music
was played by Mrs. Maury on the piano
and by little Bernice Hooper on the violin
after which refreshments were served.
