The day was begun by a good base-!

(’apt I >oe Whigham’s teiim won by only j
a small margin, their success being due j
to the heavy slugging of Mr. Ed Onstot.
Hot in spite of this the other side led
by i apt, Shrader, did some unusual play-j
ing, having a brilliant star in Mr. Wil-
lie ru as short st op.
After the baseball game we climbed
the mountain, everybody having to do |
tins before they could eat. Then we
waded the* river, and Puny Kemp just j
wouldn't wait until afternoon to take
her sw im, so she went in in t he morn-j
mg \bout one o’clock we enjoyed the I
best part of tlu1 day. After dinner we,
had a, model class meeting, and then1
went into Kangaroo Court, trying Mary]

town to have a date with an underclass-j

iisu.i1 ability as attorneys, as court clerk,
and especially did we discover unusual1
talent in our most honorable and cdli- j
crieni Judge1 Brooks, who ruled her court,
with an iron hand, going strictly by her]
own t itles and making them as she went. I
Splendid order was kept in the court!
room by Sheriff Dumb Bell, who wield-j
cd the mighty licks for any misdemean-j
or Things would have gone off smooth-j
!y had it not been for the continuous I
•contempt of court by Ciertie Whitehurst
and Evalyn Payue.
At three o’clock court was adjourned
xntil five in order that the Seniors
might all go in swimming. The water
was good, not a bit cold, and the group
had the time of their lives riding logs,
falling off, swimming and diving. At
about th e thirty another session of court
was called and after having eaten sup-
per at six thirty, this bunc h who had
lost, all their dignity,, found places on
the (ruc k again and c ame back to town
to attend a free picture show given by
• the Da lace Theatre.
Dr. and Mrs. Howard and family, Mr.
Wilhcrn and Miss Walling chaperoned;
the Seniors, and never has any bunch!
had a better time than did this whole!
group. Everyone who went declared I
that they had (he best time they have!
ever had in their life. Every Senior
had some kind of a noise-maker except I
the piece which nature gave him, and
continually wore both these in use. The
Seniors yelled and sang all day, and ev-
ery few minutes reminded the group of
the great event that was to take place
on the following day.

Modern smoking pleasure
that never fails
THE smokers of this age are the most
independent ever known. Accepting
no hearsay, they have smoked out the
facts. They have learned that the
choicest Turkish and Domestic to-
baccos grown are rolled into Camels,
that here is the incomparable blend-
ing for goodness, that Camels simply
never tire the taste.
Camel is the cigarette that never
fails to please the modern age. Re-
gardless of how often you want the
comfort of a smoke, of how steadily
will never fail you, never give you
any but the finest thrill of smoking
pleasure. This is why Camel’s popu-
larity, by far the largest in the modern
world, keeps overwhelmingly in the
lead- As modern taste becomes more
insistent upon choice tobaccos, in-
creasing millions discover Camel’s in-
comparable mildness, smoothness and
mellowness.
If yon want the cigarette that's
good to live with from morn to mid-
night, the one that is the choice of the
modern age, "Hifye a Camel!'*
you light one after another, Camel
