10% Less Gas by 1981!
25% Less Gas by1985!
The Texas Railroad Commission has
ordered that deliveries of natural gas
used for making electricty will be re-
duced — 10% by 1981, and 25% by
1985.
WHY ? Because there is a grow-
ing shortage of natural gas in the
United States. This valuable fuel is
being used faster than new supplies
are being found, and reserves are
getting lower each year.

The Webelo Scouts en-
joyed a camp-out Feb. 7th
and 8th at the Thompson
ranch near Orange Grove.
After a couple of long
hikes, a nature hunt con-
test and "boys will be
boys" fun, the Scouts
finished off their own
home-cooked Webelo stew,
peach cobbler and hot
dogs for lunch. Tall
tales and ghost stories
were told around the camp
campfire between coyote
howls. The following
Webelos took part: Todd
Mastropole, Gray Gant,
Benjamin Frishman, Eddie
Sheppard, Michael Miget,
Jay Barnes, Alan Barr,
Paul Johnston and John
James. W.J. Hutchins,
Webelo Den Chief and John
Thompson, Den Leader,
were assisted by Rick
Sparks and Matt Kohler
during the trip.
February 28th is the
date set for the Cub
Scout Blue and Gold Ban-
quet. This annual affair
is in celebration of the
birth of Scouting. The
dinner will be held in
the school cafeteria for
all Cubs and Boy Scouts,
their parents and rela-
tives. Honored guests
will be the Jerry Mc-
Donald Foundation Trus-
tees and a Scout Office
representative. The
theme of the dinner will
be the Bi-Centennial year,
complete with decorations,
adult and Cub skits and
some solemnity.
Plans are being formu-
lated for the Scout Fair
and the local Scout par-
ticipation in Oceanogra-
phy Day to be held again
this year at the UTMSL.
