DISTRICT VI SPRING MEETING
D'ear Brothers and Sisters:
The District VI spring meeting will
be held on Sunday, March 30. It will be
hosted by Lodge 63, Sweet Home. The
meeting will be held in Slovacek’s Ball-
room on Highway 77-A between Yoak-
um and Hallettsville. All of the Dis-
trict VI members are requested to
attend this meeting. Visitors from oth-
er distrícts are most welcomc to at-
tend and visit with us.
The program is as follows:
1:30 p.m. — Meeting called to order by
Dictrict VI President.
Welcome — by President of Lodge

Response — by District VI Vice Presi-

district officers for the Corning year
and other important business matters

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Lodge 130 of Dallas is looking for-
ward to hosting the District III Spring
Meeting on March 23rd. We hope that
you and your families will join us for
an interesting and productive meet-
ing.
We pian to serve you a good dinner
and make your day at our halí as
pleasant and comfortable as possible.
In addition. we extend an invitation

DISTRICT III
Dear Editor,
The following amendments to the
Rules and Regulations of District III
are submitted to the membership of
District III for their study prior to the
next regular meeting on March 23,
with the reco,mmendation that they be
approved at the meeting:
ATRICLE II — Membership
Section 3: All members háve the
right to assemble for consultation, in-
formatlon and administration under
the SPJST By-Laws and its voting re-
quirements.
Section 4: Only active or full-bene-
fit members may hold Office.
ARTICLE III — Officers and Elections.
Section 1: The officers shall be:
President, First Vice-President, Second
Vice-Prdsident, Secretary, Treasurer,
Youth Director, Assistant Youth Di-
•dector (if desired) and Flag Bearer.
Section 2: The Rest Home Director
shall be elected for a three-year term
of Office, starting January 1, 1969, in
the fall meeting, to comply with the
Rest Home By-Laws. The membership
should be notified of the future elec-
tion for this Office at the previous
spring meeting.
Section 9: Duties of the Youth Di-
rector .
a. The duties of the Youth Direetor
are as outlinecl . . .
Section 10: Duties of the Assistant
Youth Direetor.
a. To assist the District Youth
Director . . .
ARTICLE VI. Executive Board
Section 1: The Eixecutive Board shall
consist of the elected officers of the
District. The District Director and Dis-
trict Organizer shall serve in an ad-
visory capacity to the board.
Section 2: The Executive Board shall
meet within a reasonable period of
time before the regular meeting in
order to pian adequately for the reg-
ular meeting. The President shall se-
lect a plače of meeting that is cen-
trally-located for the members of the
board and direct the secretary to notify
each board member of the meeting.
ARTICLE' X — Amendment of Rules
and Regulations
Section 1: The Rules and Regula-
tions may be amended at any regular
meeting by a simple majority vote of
the members present, provided that the
amendments háve been published. át
