At the State Queen Contest, held at
Lodge 47, Seaton on Aug. 20th, Miss
Lusan lise, representing District VI,
and a rnember of Lodge No. 30 Taiton,
v as crowned the new SPJST State
Queen.
Her escort was Bcnnie Krpec, also
of Lodge No. 30. Botu are very acfcive
members oí the Taiton Youbh Club,
Bennie being president. Susan is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James D.
Use of New Taiton. She is a rnember of
St. John’s Catholic hurch. In schoul
her favorite subject is English, and her
hobby is swimming. She is a rnember
of the National Honor Society, a subs-
titute swimming instructor, and an
honoráry rnember of Industrial Arts
Club in high schod. She served as
treasurer of the Taiton CYO for two
years, and recently took part in the
County Youth Rodeo. She is a cathe-
chism teacher at St. Johiťs. Her am-
bit ion is to be an elementary schod
teacher.
Bennie Krpec is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Mike Krpec, Jr., and is a sopko™
more in El Campo High Schod. Bennie
is a rnember of the Taiton Catholic
Church, the Taiton CYO, Future
Farmers of America. Bennie is an ac-
complished accordion player. His fav-
orite sport is playing tennis; in school
his favorite subject is biology, and his
ambition is to bccomc a mechanical
engineer.
