soring their annual barbecue dinner.
The dinner will begin at. 11:30, and
everyone is invited to join us.
Our next meeting will be on Nov.
3rd. Hope to see you all there.

Dear Members,
There is a song titled “Climb, Climb,
Up Sunshine Mountain.” This is what
came to mind, with slight variations,
as Ann Gensler and I drove to Síster
Emily Mikeska’s home for our youth
leaders’ seminář last Saturday. How-
«ver, before we ,got to the “mountain”,
or, we’d better say “hill”, we drove on
the Little River bottom road which is
VÉSTNÍ K
more familiarly known as Sunshine
Road. This scenic drive alone was
worth the trip, with its many winding
ways through the trees. Later this fall
when the leaves turu čolor, this drive
will really be beautiful. Mrs. Mikeska’s
lovely home is atop one of the many
rolling hills in the vícinity. The view
is breathtaking. Needless to say, we
were fortunate to háve had our meet-
ing in such a lovely plače, and thank
Mrs. Mikeska for being such a gracions
hostess. She not only let us use her .
home, but she furnished the meat for
; our noon meal. This was a hínt of the
Thanksgiving season just ahead —
turkey and dressing. The rest of us
brought covered dishes, and by eom-
bining it all, we truthfully had a
Thanksgiving Feast.
Now, we didn’t just drive around and
eat all day; we did learn qnite a few
things from our State Youth Director,
Brother James Janoušek. He talked
and we listened (most of the time). We
learned to sing, play games, and
make crafts. All things considered, it
was an enjoyable and profitable day.
We are looking forward to the next
one.
Fraternally,
Leona Stalmach,
Youth Leader
