hilarious Czech play, “Posvíceni Na
Livcke Vsi,” (Country Wake), at the
new air-ccnditioned SPJST Lodge No.
88, Houstcn, on Sanday, May 30th.
Curfcain trne wili be 3 p.m. Actor Jan
Schroif, cne of the dlreetors, plays the
part oř Ferry, a poet, who íinally pro-
poses to Manka so he could ha ke her
listen to his poerns. Actress Naomi
Kostom plays the part of Inoceneia, a
liighly inteliectual person who suc-
cumb3 to the art of drinking, which
cause,s her to reveal her love for
Franta. F. A. Kadíecek plays the part
of Franta, who likes to drink to forget
his troubles and occasion.ally gets in-
to a fight because ' ov i.ds drinking
habits. Tím Kostom plays the part of
Lelek, a travcling salesman who thies
to seli electric vacuum clcaners in a
town that has no electricíty. Make
plans to corne and attend this Czech
play on Sunday, May 30th. A delicíous
dinner will be served prior to the play.

test; also a talent eonisst, and would •

these contcsts. I know that we háve a
nuniber of youn,g talented people in
our lodge v/ho could enter. Who knows,
you might win and go on to district
and statě ccihpetiticn, and I think that
would bo lots of fun.
