Neimeier, Pena selected forTGCA All-State volleyball
The Texas Girls Coaches Association have selected the All-State teams in volleyball. Nominated this year from Yorktown were
seniors Sam Neimeier and Victoria Pena. Only 40 athletes were selected from their conference. The Yorktown Kitty Kats ended

UIL realignment for 2014-2016
AUSTIN -The University
Interscholastic League
released the conference cut-
off numbers for the 2014-
2016 reclassification and
realignment. These num-
bers provide the range of
enrollment for each of the
six conferences, including
the divisional cutoffs for
football.
The 2014-16 alignments
will be released on Feb. 3
for football and basketball.
District alignments for
other activities will be
released in the order of their
seasons. More information

engagement
Sheriff Kirby and Debby Brumby of Goliad announce the
engagement of their daughter, Lorel Elizabeth Brumby, to
Brandon Reed Blain, son of Letha and Robert Blain of
Meyersville. Lorel, a graduate of Texas A&M University
Corpus Christi with a bachelor of science degree in mar-
keting, is employed by Bellows Operating in Goliad.
Brandon graduated from the University of Kansas with a
bachelor of science degree in education exercise science
and sports management He works for Pfizer
Pharmaceuticals.The couple plans to wed April 2014.
