the sliver tea sponsored by the
, Methodist Youth Fellowship last
1 Saturday afternoon In the Henry
j Schooler home with Mrs. J. W. Mc-
Fadden and Mrs Campbell White
as co-hostesses with Mrs Schooler.
The money will be used by the
MYF group for its summer camp.
Oloriadell Maxwell presided at
the guest book and Marjorie White
served the punch. The tea table
was centered with white gladioli
and green plumosla. flanked by
green tapers in silver candlesticks.
During the tea hour Marluell
Cartwright played soft music
Joyce Jacobs gave a musical read-
ing, Carolyn King and Marjorie
White played a flute duet; Peggy
Scott and Mrs. J C. Burney each
sang several solos, and the group
sang several popular songs Mrs
Schooler and Marlnel! Cartwright
were piano accompanists for the
singers
RETURN FROM VACATION
Mr. and Mrs. L. B Proffitt re-
turned last Thursday from a 10-
day vacation spent In the north-
western part pf the United States.
They had accompanied their son-
in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs
T. A Beavers and children. Mariet-
ta and Nancy, back to their home
In Casper. Wyo. following a visit
made here by the Beavers. En
route to Wyoming they visited the
many scenic spots In that state and
In Colorado. Mrs. Proffitt says she
enjoyed a snow fight with her
grandchildren on the snow capped
mountains near Casper. The Prof-
fitts report that they were very
much Impressed with the beautiful
scenery they saw all the way home
until they reached the Amarillo
section which was tom up by the
recent tornado.
