room were beautifully decorated
Each person could feel the spirit of
Christmas as they entered the
room and were greeted by the pres-
ident who presented the ladies with
a Christmas corsage which she had
made
The meeting was called to order
by the president The club prayer
and pledge were read in unison by
the group
A short busines. meeting follow-
ed Mrs J H Downing was elected

at the piano Each lady gave a
Christmas wish in jingle for her
friends The members revealed
their sunshine pals The gifts were
then exchanged The club present-
ed their president, Mrs Pete
George and Miss Holman, county
H D. agent each with a gift
Refreshments were served by the
Jiostess and plate favors were littits

It is with regret that we report
this week the news that we are
about to lose several friends from
this community the 1st of January
as a result of the sale by the Rea-
gan County Purchasing Company
of their interests in the Santa Rita
Camp to the Humble Oil Co
The families who will be trans-
ferred to Reagan County's other
stations over Texas and New Mex-
ico Include Mr and Mrs D K Bnn-
ton, Mr and Mrs M L Masters,
Mr and Mrs Pete George, Mr and
Mrs F II Wendenburg
At a Boy Scout Council banquet
m San Angelo last Saturday night
Texonlte H I Adams was present-
ed by the Boy Scouts of America
the highest award given by the or-
ganization to a non-professional
Scooter Mr Adams received the
Silver Beaver for his outstanding
work with boyhood and other out-
standing contributions as u mem-
ber of his community
