District Two Youth Leaders Share Weekend of Training
Dear Věstník Readers,
District Two Youth Leaders met for
their annual district training in New
Braunfels the weekend of April 20,
2013. Ele ven of the 17 leaders and as-
sistants were able to attend. It was a
wonderful weekend of training, shar-
ing ideas, planning camp, and dis-
cussing Youth Achievement Day.
There was excellent input from each
one in attendance. We were very hon-
ored to háve District Two Director
Jesse Pospisil and Linda join us bright
and early on Saturday moming with
breakfast. Thank you, Jesse, for your
words of praise and encouragement.
Thanks, Linda, for the breakfast. We
somehow figured out you were the
“chef.” Goodjob!
As a district, we wanted to do
something for the community. West,
Texas, is very speciál to us. Our
beseda costumes are made there by
Maggie and, of course SPJST is in-
volved in Westfest. We decided to
“adopt” two families that were af-
fected by the terrible disaster in West.
Several youth leaders donated their
monies from Join Hands Day, and
along with funds from the District
Two Youth Fund, a donation was
made directly to these families to help
in whatever way needed. We also
discussed a project for SPJST Educa-
tion and Nátuře Center in Cooper
Farm.
To stay in touch throughout the
year, several leaders are participating
in “Secret Sister.” We did this many
years ago, and it was enjoyed by all.
Leaders, don’t forget your sisters.
They are expecting to hear from you.
After our mission of training and
planning a fun and exciting year for
the most important—our District Two
Youth—we headed out for an evening
of shopping, fun, and a wonderful
meal in Greene, Texas. You would not
believe what fun 18 ladies and one
gentleman can háve shopping. I must
say, the restaurant experience is one
we will not forget.
To all District Two Leaders—thank
you! You are a wonderful group of
ladies. I appreciate all you do for our
youth. Your time, dedication, care, and
love for each youth means so much.
The youth and parents appreciate you
also.
Love,
Patsy Koslovsky
