Letter the Editor
To all concerned,
I am a father of a twelve
year old son. I am a single father
and we do everything together.
Last Saturday we went to the
Crandall Cotton Festival. We also
go to the Fourth of July Celebra-
tion and to Seago Fest here in Sea-
go ville. After we have attended
these activities, my son has always
said it was fun. Again, it was fun.
After we left the Cotton Festival,
my son said DAD, That Was Awe-
some ! (His words, not mine.)
Awesome.
All I can say is shame on
you Seagoville to let Crandall out
do you every year. Please under-
stand these two activities are all
our young people have to do in this
town. As being 54 years of age
myself, believe me, it is no pleas-
ure for me having to go to Town
East to the mall on a weekend to
try and occupy my son’s active
life. There is nothing for young
people in this town outside the
twice of year events, which are the
same year end and year out. Even
when I was young living in Seago-
ville we had activities. We had
Crest Theater, Moon’s Drive Inn,
Dairy Queen, a public swimming
pool, and even a little place called
Teen Town-House. We had danc-
ing, and we could shoot pool and
play pinball. Now there is nothing
for our young people.
Wake up Seagoville! Stop
bringing the same old carnival
here. Make it big and better like
Crandall has. Try to bring some-
thing to Seagoville for our young
people. Show them we care.
Thank Y ou,
Larry Daniel
