Company of Texas is the style of a
damage suit, in which $00,900 Is
asked, filed with the clerk of the

was employed by the defendant rail-
way company as a fireman and in
a railroad accident at Alvarado was
instantly killed.
Today will mark the closing of
this term of all the public schools
in Grayson county outside of the
Sherman and Denison districts. At
a number of the places special exer-
cises will be had and dinners will
be given on Saturday. During this
year all of the schools in the coun-

Muskogee, Ok.. May 12.—From
100 to to 150 mechanics of Die
Missouri, Oklahoma and Gulf Rail-
way company walked out of -the
company's shop here and went on
a strike all along the line yesterday
from Muskogee to Denison, Tex.,
following the discharge of Night
Foreman W, H. Johnson.
Johnston had discharged a num-
ber of negro wiiiers in the round-
house on the ground that they slept
and did not work. Master Mechnnlc
Hunter sent the men back to work
and when Johnson refused to O K
their time checks, the master me-
chanic discharged him.
The white men sided with John-
ston and went out on a strike. Sev-
ern! meetings have been held today,
but there was no progress toward
settling the trouble. The officials
have declared they will»never put the
men back to work who struck and
the strikers declare "there are no
men to take their places. They
want Johnson reinstated with power
to handle hi# own men.

first places banking these expecta-

the events held at the dual meet
with Polytochntc college in this city
