Mrs. Roy Davis returned
home Saturday from Enid,
Oklahoma. She had surgery at
an Enid hospital on Tuesday,
March 17, and was able to
leave the hospital on Thurs-
day.

Mrs. Roland Flock, 412 Maple,
were Rev. and Mrs. Floyd
Lamunyon of Laverne, and
Rev. and Mrs. Donald Dibbens
of Follett.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Imke
of Follett were guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Imke Sunday
afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Faus-
set and granddaughter, Janet
Hill, and his mother, Mrs.
Lizzie Fausset were guests
in his sister’s home, Mr. and
Mrs. Carroll McClung, 1318 S.
Baylor, Perry ton, Sunday af-
ternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Chap-
pell went to visit their daugh-
ter Dessie and family, and a
grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Miller in Amarillo this past
weekend.

daughters of Lipscomb were
weekend guests of his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Laurie and

Mrs. Gracie Hennigh went
to Espanola, New Mexico,
Saturday, March 21 for a visit
with her son, Mr., and Mrs.
Charles M. Hennigh and her
grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs.
Herbie Hennigh, University
Park, New Mexico, and Mr.
and Mrs. Monte Dowdy of
Espanola. The Dowdy’s have
Mrs. Hennigh’s first great
grandchild.
Mrs. Conrad Bechthold,
Mrs. Don Travis, Mrs. Salamo
Koch, Mrs.. Henry Bechthold
and Mrs. Clyde Bechthold took
Tanya Travis, Sally Ann Koch
and Clydene, Bechthold to
Goodwell, Oklahoma Saturday,
March 21, where the girls
played their musical instru-
ments and were judged. The
girls received a Superior
rating.

Mrs. Martha Herber and Mrs.
Lee Herber drove to Hooker,
Oklahoma to visit her daughter
Mrs. Kelly Steinle, who has
been in the hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Chapman,
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Gustin in Follett, and then
drove to Slapout to visit Mrs.
Gustin’s son, Mr. and Mrs.
Milford Baldwin on Sunday. .

Mrs. Verle Woods, 310 E.
Texas Ave.., had a party for
her daughter Valorie’s 4th
birthday, March 19. Those
present were Janet Hill,
Sharia McGee, Jenny Roper,
Johnna Kay and Robin Ragan,
Joni Phillips, Wade and
Christa Robertson, Tam and
Troy McGee, Ken, Tambra and
Brenda Helfenbein, Mark and
Lori Potter, Todd Yauck,
Laurie Herber, Monte Schoen-
hals, Cindy Morgan and Doug
Frost, besides Valeria and
her brother, Mauri.

Mr. and Mrs. K. C. Jenkins
took Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Jen-
kins to the Royal Inn Restau-
rant in Follett in observance
of Mrs. G. A. Jenkins birthday,
March 17.
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Jenkins
left Thursday, March 19, for
Bovina, Texas where they will
visit his sister, Mrs. Janie
Fila, and to Clovis, New
Mexico to visit Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Moorman, Mr. and Mrs.
R. P. Martin, and Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Rhodes - - all mem-
bers of the A. J. Moorman
family. Mr. Jenkins attended
to business in Muleshoe and
Lubbock. They also attended
the Baptist church in Lubbock
Sunday morning to see and
hear a friend, Rev. P. D.
Fullingim, preach. He was a
former pastor of the Follett
Baptist church. The Jenkins
returned home Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Merle S. Cross
went to Copperas Cove, Texas
March 19 to visit their son,
Lt. and Mrs. Larry L. Cross
and returned March 22. Larry
is being sent to California for
two months training, so Delor-
is will be returning to Darr-
ouzett with Mr. and Mrs. Cross
for that length of time. Larry
left Copperas Cove on Mar. 22.

Mrs.. John Schropshire of
Lubbock spent Tuesday night
with her sister, Rev. and Mrs.
Wm. Lewis and left Wednesday.
Mrs. Schropshire is a Public
Health Nurse and her territory
is the entire Panhandle of
Texas, from Abilene to Big
Springs and north to the state
line. She works with the
migrant population.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Terrel
left Thursday, March 19 for a W
visit with their daughter, ^
Coeta and family in Costa
Mesa, California.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Williams
went to Pittsburg, Kansas,
Wednesday, March 18, in
answer to a call, due to the
illness of his sister’s daugh-
ter. The neice, Twyla Prince,
age 25, passed away a few
hours after their arrival. They
returned home Sunday eve,
March 22.

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dene
Johnson and children, Randy
and Alice of King City, Miss-
ouri were visiting her parents
and brothers, Mr. and Mrs.
James Kemp, Vernon and Don-
ald for a week frbm March 7 to
13. They also visited her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. R.
Harris of Perryton and herr
grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Cook
of Logan. Mrs. Johnson will
be remembered as Lillie Kemp.
On March 10 Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Edwards and their
family of 3 boys and a girl of
Perryton called on the John-
sons and Kemps.

Donald Kemp, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Kemp was bitten by
a hog while working with the
swine. He was taken to the
Beaver Hospital on March 14
and was released Monday the
16th. •
