For Opening Of
Loggins & Lilly
DEVINE — The big remodel-
ling sale and 46th anniversary
held by Loggins & Lilly Thursday
evening drew one of the largest
crowds ever to attend an opening
in Devine. More than 1 000 people
registered Thursday evening, and
others who attended failed to
register. Registration continued
through Friday and Saturday.
More than 50 attendance prixe*
were awarded, some going to out-
of-town people. Before the doors
opened, a short religious service,
attended by the owners and em-
ployees, was conducted by Rev.
L. R. Cochreham of San Antonio
and Rev. W. S. Ezell of Devine.
A number of flowers were sent
for the occasion, and music was
furnished by Bill Boyd and the
Rolling Stones. Hot biscuits, hot
dogs, coffee, and cake were serv-
ed.
People from all the neighboring
towns were in attendance, with
some people coming from as fax
as San Antonio, Dallas and Fort
Worth.
