popular being Country Woman and Low and
Lonesome.
Breeding will be presented with the Life-
time Achievement Award at the festival.
Others will be recognized for the dedicated
service in the Wharton area, including educa-
tors Jean Brinkley and Lynn Ellison and civic
leaders Eddie Brinkley and Add le Plummer.
F or children 12 years of age and under there
will be free hot dogs, snow cones, funnel cakes,
cotton candy, lemonade and carnival rides.
A free shuttle bus service provided by Colo-
rado Valley Transit will be available to ferry
people to and from remote parking areas.

On a humid, breezy night,
the 99 members of the Class
of 2013 processed in to “Pomp
and Circumstance” as per-
formed by the Wharton High
School Band, under the direc-
tion of Bruce Kenner. After
the Air Force JROTC present-
ed the colors, Tatiana Alicea
performed a stunning rendi-
tion of the National Anthem.
Emily McDougall led the
class in the Pledge of Alle-
giance, followed by the invo-
cation by Cassidy McDonald
and a welcome by Presley Ga-
jewsky.
After addresses by Arm-
strong Willi ams and Hajari,
Wharton ISD Superintendent
Kay Shoppa introduced board
members and congratulated
the graduates. High School
Principal Steve May certi-
fied that the class had met
the necessary requirements
for graduation, and then as-
sistant principals Alan Black
and Mike Smith presented
the diplomas.
Afterwards, Cassidy Mc-
Donald performed “Alma Ma-
ter” and Joy Nuspliger offered
a benediction before the grad-
uates were dismissed.
Class sponsors included

Hawk, Casey Killough, Gin-
ger Morgan, Roben Eller

JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL JUNE 15 in Wharton, Texas. On Tour, their first stop LADY AUDREY
AND SUPERIOR BAND performed at The Largest Magic 102.1 Blues Festival in Dallas, Texas! A
crowd of over 15,000 attended the festival.
Traveling on to Laren, Mississippi, they performed in front of more than 5,000 people along with Sir
Charles and many more! Their last stop was Lufkin, Texas performing with TkSoul.
Lady Audrey will perform her latest single “PRESCRIPTION FOR MY LOVE ADDICTION”
which made the TOP TEN ON THE SOUTHERN /BLUES CHART in Mississippi! Check out the
