By Vivian Morrow
This year RCHS has a large
responsibility, not only to its
students but to all of West
Texas. Twice a year a Student
Council district convention is
held. This year RCHS is the
president school for this West
Texas Forum to be held at
Midland High School October
22. Last Tuesday, SC President
Phil Duesing, Historian Viv-
ian Morrow and Sponsor Jack
Black went to Midland for a j
planning meeting with Secre- |
tary School Kermit. Speaker
Delbert Downing will be part
of the program as will be
twelve groups for discussing
problems of various schools.
There are 27 schools register-
ed in the West Texas Forum.
Also on the calendar is a
long-awaited FHA meeting.
The local Future Homemak-
ers of America chapter will
hold a re - organizational
meeting October 4.
School pictures for fresh-
men, sophomores and juniors
will be taken October 4.

It is too easy for parents to
pass off irritable, moody be-
havior or complaints about
ill health as a stage or “just
a period he’s going through."
Maybe it is, but a friendly
competent family physician
is one of the people every
teenager should know well.
He is often an emotional out-
let as he plays his role of
teen confidant.
Frequent physical check-
ups can reassure both the
young person and the parents
that all is well. It may also
point up the cause of emo-
