Brief Bits Of News
Annual's Aim Is 750
“750 or bust”
This is the official motto of the
1940 Westerner staff. According to
the business manager, Robert Mul-
lins, the indications are that the sale
will top 750.
The annuals are on sale in the of-
fice for $3.50. The down payment
is $2.50 and then $1 is to be paid on
delivery of the annuals in May. An-
nuals will not be on sale after Feb-
ruary 16.
Last year only 620 annuals were
ordered, but 715 annuals have al-
ready been sold this year.

In One Easy Lesson!
The ambition to remember well can be realized by practicing one
simple rule.
A well known principle of the psychology of memory is to associate
the fact you wish to remember with something you already know.
Take the following as an example:
You wish to remember that the Pilgrims landed in America during
the year 1620 . . . now associate this fact with THE BAKER COM-
PANY telephone number which also is 1620. . . Presto, the job is
done .. . it’s easy to remember . . . telephone 1620.
