Mrs. A J. Jenkins has just
returned home from a six weeks
visit m the home of her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Capt. and
Mrs. Jim T. Wiede of Rapid
City, South Dakota.
She enjoyed visiting many
sites such as the Black Hills,
Cluster Perk. Badlands and
Mount Rushmore. Many won-
derful foods were enjoyed,
such as elk. antelope, deer,
trout and pheasant.
Among other things she at-
tended was the Annual Christ-
mas Fair, presented by the Ben-
nington County extension club
members, an exhibit on feather
hats, corsages and centerpieeess.
The exhibit was held at the
Officers Club at the air base.

In high school, Miss Hanikc
was all active member of the
Future Homemakers of Ameri-
ca In college, she was active
in the Wesley Foundation, Uni-
versity Home Economics Club,
Interfaith Council, Unit ed
Christian Fellowship, and the
Agr.culture Aggie Club.
She is presently serving as
Fails County Junior Assistant
Extension Agent.

are the parents of a daughter.
Lina Linda, born at 3:35 a. m.
December 4 at Richards Clinic
& Hospital, The new arrival
weighed 7 pounds. 15 ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Scott Daven-
port of Rockdale celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary
on December 8 with an open
house reception at their home.
This enjoyable afternoon was
attended by their four children,
sons J. D. Davenport and Clar-
ence Davenport of Milano, and
daughters, Mrs. Lester D. Wil-1
liams of Milano and Mrs. C. R j
Dennis of Houston.
Also attending were Scott
Davenport’s sisters, Mrs Henry
Touchstone and Mrs. Claude ]
McEntire. both of Bryan. One !
brother of Rockdale was un-
able to attend. Mrs. Davenport
had one sister, Mrs. G. F. Mor-
gan of McAllen, and one brother
Homer Winkless of Houston, at-
tending.

And Plans Party
The Sharp Parent-Teachers
Association met Friday with
Mrs. Bill McMurtr.v presiding.
After the meeting, the P-TA
turned to the business of plan-
ning the Sharp annual Christ-
mas party. The party will be

be presented by the children,
which will be followed by the
appearance Of Santa to talk to
the children and give bags of
fruit and candy.
