Christmas Party
The Feiician Sisters of York-
town Memorial Hospital were
hostess’ Saturday evening for a
dinner party honoring doctors
of the staff and their wives.
The hospital banquet room was
gay with candle light and a Ch-
ristmas tree with silver balls
holding gifts for the guests. The
mantel was banked with car-
nations with Vigil lights, and
glittered magnolia leaves at an-
other point in the room a table
held a madonna, an imported
creche from Germany, silvered
eucalyptus leaves and two white
candles in silver candelabra.
The buffet held an arrange-
ment of red candles with white
spruce branches and red and si-
lver balls. A white net Christ-
mas cloth over red satin cover-
ed the table, and was centered
with a large gold reindeer pull-
ing Santa in a sled Christmas
place cards seated twelve gue-
sts.
Out of town guests were Dr.
and Mrs. John Weaver of Aus-
tin; Dr. and Mrs. John Day of
Runge. Preceding dinner Rev.
Muilally entertained with a co-
cktail party in his apartment.
Other members of the staff are
Dr. J. Pridgen of San Antonio,
Dr. Marvin Gohlke, Dr. John
Barth and Dr. L. W. Nowier-
ski of Yorktown.

Ladles Night
Members of the Lion's Club
were hosts' Monday evening for
their Annual Ladies Night Chri-
stmas dinner party. The decor-
ations in the school lunch room
carried out the Christmas motif,
The table was in a U shape,
down its length were silvered
leaves, sparkle and glitter. A
turkey dinner was served. Fel
ton Schroller, president, presid-
ed as Master of Ceremonies J.
D Boone gave the invocation
and Loren Craig the benediction.
Covers were laid for thirty-eight
Santa arrived with his pack and
a gift exchange was enjoyed.
Eightieth Birthday
The home of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin Pfeifer was opened Sun-
day and Monday afternoons
when relatives and friends call-
ed to help Mrs. H. J. Buchhom
celebrate her eightieth birthday.
The home was abloom with ma-
ny gift blossoms. The birthday
table was centered with pink
Smith and daughter Miss Ann
Smith.
Forty-Two Club
Members and guests of the
Forty-Two Club met Thursday
afternoon with Mrs. Joe Neu-
mayer. Forest greens with holly
the lighted Christmas tree and
burning candles, decorated the
home. The mirror above the
mantel reflected red poinsettias
with red burning candles. A
plate of creamed chicken, hot
biscuit, a salad, apple filled Ber-
linas and coffee were served
from the dining table overlaid
with a hand made lace cover,
and centered with burning San-
party Sunday honoring their fa-
ther Frank Hilmer. A Christ-
mas tree loaded with gifts for
all the family and other season-
al decor formed the setting for
the day’s activities. Red Poinset-
tias encircled with green burn-
ing tapers formed the table cen-
terpiece. Turkey dimer was ser-
ered with dessert and coffee.
At the tea hour cake, sandwi-
ches with coffee and tea was
served.

Honors Mothers
Mrs. William Kami’s group
of Blue Birds entertained their
mothers at Proctor Hall Thurs-
day at 3:30 p.m. with a Christ-
mas party. Each girl presented
her mother with a gift she had
made.
Attractive decorations and pl-
ate favors, designed and made
by the group, were used in the
table decor. Games were en-
joyed.
New officers for the ensuing
two months were elected.

Saturday evening at Herman
Sons Hall, Mrs. Emil Krueger
was hostess for a dance honor-
ing her daughter Brenda on her
thirteenth birthday. Holiday gr-
eens interspersed with colored
lights added gayety to the scene.
The buffet table held a center-
piece of red poinsettias; the
green frosted birthday cake and
red gleaming tapers in birthday
holders. The cake was served
with other nick-nacks and the
party beverage. The guests in-
cluded forty guests of the teenag
group.
