KinKsville's Brahmas, who have a chance to close
the 1961 football season with a 4-1 district record and
7-3 record for the season, move Into Gobbler Stadium
Friday night to help ring the curtain down on Gobbler
play for the year.

Last week, the Brahmas roll-

workout that permitted Kings-

each found him seti a one-touch-
down underdog.
It will probably be some time
before the Cuero Gobblers and
the Kingsville Brahmas meet on
the gridiron again following Fri-
day night's affair at Gobbler
Stadium. The primary reason is
that these teams will be playing
in different leagues in 1962 and
a secondary one is the distance
between the two cities.
Kingsville is stepping up a
notch to Class AAAA ball next
time around and we don't envy
them their position, for they'll
be moving Into pretty fast com-
pany. However, even in their
first season in Class 4-A ball,
they should do no worse than
some at the current members of
the loop they’re Joining.
