Eagles roll
SAINT JO — The
Montague Lady Eagles trav-
eled to Saint Jo for their first
game of the new year and
were victorious 39-9. The
girls played a great defensive
game and rebounded
extremely well which gave
them numerous fast-break
points.
“The Saint Jo girls
pressed us most of the game
and were very aggressive,”
said Coach Cromleigh,
“Thankfully my girls were
able to break the press and
score. I am very proud of my
girls and their focus. They
are fighters and never let
up!”
Game stats:
Yvonne Croxton- 13
points, 8 steals, 5 assists, 5
rebounds and 2 saves;
Genevieve Hanna- 12 points,
1 steal, 1 assist, 17 rebounds
and 1 save; Brooklyn
Messer- 5 points, 6 steals, 2
assists and 3 rebounds; Hope
Howard- 5 points, 3 steals, 2
assists and 16 rebounds;
Trystin Fenoglio- 4 points, 6
steals, 3 assists, 3 rebounds
and 1 save; Mikey Jordan- 2
rebounds.
Panthers win
SAINT JO — On the
boy’s side, the Eagles hus-
tled and played their hearts
out against a very quick,
aggressive and very loaded
Saint Jo team.
Saint Jo had a definite
height advantage over the
Montague Eagles, making it
hard for them to get any sec-
ond chance points. They
controlled the boards, which
led to their fast-break points
and wore the boys down
with their 2 fresh squads. “I
was proud of my boys and
their hustle, they never gave
up,” says Coach Cromleigh,
“The boys work hard every
day and their improvement
does not go unnoticed- they
make me proud!”
Game stats: Dalton
Atteberry- 14 points (3 3
pointers), 3 steals, 2 assists
and 5 rebounds; Osias
Atayde- 6 points (2 3 point-
ers), 3 steals, 1 assist and 3
rebounds; Kodiak Jordan- 2
points, 1 steal and 5
rebounds; Connor Sears- 2
points, 1 steal, 1 assist and 6
rebounds; Kaden Maness- 3
steals, 2 assists and 4
rebounds; Reagan Wilson- 2
steals, 1 assists and 2
rebounds.

River JV last Tuesday night
26-21.
Marcus Carter and Cain
Brown led the Indians with 7
points each. Cole Jackson
added 5, Bray den Skinner 4,

JV fights hard
With only five players at
their disposal, the Nocona
junior varsity found itself
facing a Holliday squad with
three times its numbers.
Nocona played tough
with the Eagles, cutting the
lead to single digits in the
fourth quarter, but depth
proved to be the difference
in the 50-37 Eagle win.
Cain Brown led Nocona
with 14 points. Marcus
Carter added 11 while
Brayden Skinner scored 7
and Matt Womack 3.
