JHS to present Grease, the musical
JHS theater department
proudly presents “Grease
— the musical.” The family-
friendly show will be live on
stage at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec.
13 and at 2 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15 at the
JISD auditorium.
Advance tickets are on sale
and available for purchase
by contacting the Jacksboro
High School office at (940)
567-7313 or by contacting
any cast or crew members.
Theatre students have been
hard at work rehearsing to
prepare for the show. The cast
and crew of the show had to
overcome several obstacles.
Being that Jacksboro is such
a small town, most students
involved in this production
are involved in other activities
including band, athletics, stu-
dent council, National Honor
Society and more. Also, due
to a work-related accident the
production’s director was not
able to participate in set build-
ing over the Thanksgiving
holidays. Several community
members, cast and crew were
able to construct the set.
Proceeds from the show
will help pay for the Drama
Club seniors’ trip to New
York coming up over Spring
Break. The school invites all
to come out and support the
program.
