Dundee Notes

Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Phillips of
Dundee were honored Sunday with a
family reunion celebrating their six-
ty-fifth wedding anniversary. They
met at the Dundee community house
where dinner was served to one hun-
dred thirty-eight relatives and four
friends. In the afternoon, approxi-
mately forty friends called to extend
congratulations.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillips were married
in Georgia November 15, 1883, and
moved to Texa/s about 1895, settling
in Ellis County. In 1907 they moved
to Archer County where Mr. Phillips
was engaged in farming until his re-
tirement. Mr. Phillips is 83 and Mrs.
Phillips will be 81 next month, and
both of them are in very good health.
Their ten children are all living and
none of their descendants have died
except in infancy.
Those attending the reunion were:
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Scoggins, Mr.
and Mre. J. H. Scoggins and two of
their children, and Mr. and Mrs. H
P. Cheatham and four of their chil-
dren, all of Tioga. Texas; Mr. and
Mrs. C. F. Perrv and son of Sherman.

cf Fort Worth; Mr. and Mrs. Wann
Barr of Gainesville; Mr. Ezra Phil-
lips of Gilmer. Texas; Mr. and Mrs.

daughters of Longview; Mr. and Mrs.
Lee Phillips of Dundee; Mr. and Mrs.
C. E. Phillips and two sons, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert H. Phillips and two
daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Phillips and two sons. Mr. and Mrs.
G. R. Strickland and two daughters
of Wichita Falls; Mrs. D. L. Spruiell

Don Swadley of N. T. S. C., Den-
ton, was home for the week-end with
his mother. Mrs. Donnie Swadley,
who has word from Lt. Clyde of
Newfoundland that he is well on his
road to recovery following his appen
dectomy of several weeks ago.
Mrs. Pete Rayborn of Wichita Falls
attended the Phillips reunion Sunday
and had the opportunity to say
“Hellc” to many of her old friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Miller and
daughter, Chesta Faye of Iowa Park
were week-end guests with his aunt,
Mrs. Lucille Moseley.
Mary Beth Williams. Betty Sis-
som, Peggy Landrum. Betty Ruth Lu-
core and Idaliah Crutcher attended
the Home Economics Club meeting
at Holliday High Monday night.
Mary Frances Sanders was brought
home from school Monday due to ill-

the afternoon and night of Armistice
Day in Wichita Falls with their
daughter and her husband, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Barton.
Mr. and Mre. J. D. Sebring and
children attended the Polack Shrine
Circus at the Alemorial Auditorium,
Wichita Falls, Wednesday night.
Mrs. E. B. Maxwell and Airs. Her-
bert Drummonds of Wichita Falls
were in Dundee Sunday to attend the
PhilliDs open house.
Mr'and Airs. Charles H. WiHiams,
David Kenneth and Mary Beth, were
in Wichita Falls Thunsday night to
attend the program at the Memorial
Auditorium presented by Phil Spital.

Baptist Church Sunday morning and
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess Segler. Mr. and

dinner Sunday at the home of Mr.
and Mm. Lee Palacious honoring
their daughter, Mary Lee. who was
married that morning to Mr. David
E. Banta.
Air. G. D. Noles is absent this week

Mrs. Lottie Thompson returned
home from Graham Tuesday and will
be here a few days.
Billie Sue Blair celebrated her sev-
enth birthday Saturday at her home
with a party giyen by her mother,
Mrs. Lewis Blair. Alfter several

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pickett and Mrs.
Boyce Leath attended funeral ser-
vices held last Thursday in Blutf-
greve for a long-time friend. Mark
Blake. The deceased died suddenly
Wednesday cf a heart attack, having
seemingly recuperated nicely from
an operation of some two weeks be-
fore.
Mrs. Eula Paul and mother, Mrs.
N. I. Andrews, spent the past week-
end with the former’s daughter.
Frances Ray, at Spur, Texas, where
she is a teacher in the public school
system.
