Mts. Murnice R. Davis, of
Allen, died Friday morning,
November 25, 1977 in
McKinney.
She was born April 11, 1925
in Texas, the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Thad
Curry. She married Elton D.
Davis in 1940 in Oklahoma.
She is survived by her
husband, of Allen: seven
sons, Elton Ray Davis, of
Plano, Jessie L. Davis, of
Plano, Ronnie E. Davis, of
Plano, Maxey D. Davis, of
McKinney, Joe M. Davis, of
McKinney, Alvin G. Davis, of
McKinney, and Bobby G.
Davis, of Dallas; five
daughters, Mrs. Charles
Sadler, of McKinney, Mrs.
Ed Burnside of McKinney,
Mrs. Dorthy Knight, of
McKinney, Mrs. Terry Bates
of Wylie, and Mrs. Linda
Stewart, of Plano; five
brothers, Cecil Curry of Red
Oak, O.A. Curry of Plano,
Raymond Curry of Dallas,
Albert Curry of Leonard, and
Bill Curry of Lubbock; four
sisters, Mrs. Dorthy Seabolt
of Dallas, Mrs. Lillie Moffett
of Oregon, Mrs. Rachel
Muselwhite of California,
and Miss Annie Curry of
Terrell; 32 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at
2:30 p.m. Saturday, Novem-
ber 26, 1977 in the
Turrentine - Jackson -
Morrow Funeral Home chap-
el with Rev. Charles Cross
officiating. Interment was in
Ridgeview Memorial Park
Cemetery.
VIOLA BERNICE
BOARDMAN
Viola Bernice Boardman of
Wylie died Friday, November
25, 1977 in the Wylie
Hospital.
She was born October 14,
1894 in Wylie, the daughter
of the late Howard and Annie
McDonald Phillips.
She is survived by several
cousins.
Funeral services were held at
3:00 p.m. Sunday, November
27, 1977 in the Allen Funeral
Home chapel with Mike
Brandish and Ken Hay
officiating. Interment was in
Wylie Cemetery. Allen Fu-
neral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
MRS. BERNIECE BOX
Funeral services for Mrs.
Berniece Box of Dallas were
held last Saturday at 2:00
p.m. at the Nevada United
Methodist Church with Rev.
Harold Staats officiated.
Interment followed at the
IOOF Cemetery under the
direction of the Royse City
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Box passed away in a
Dallas hospital on November
24, 1977.
Born in Nevada, Texas on
July 4, 1907, she was the
daughter of Charles B. and
Ida Mae Hickey Kirby.
She was a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star
Chapter #977 of Wylie,
Texas.
She was a member of the
Methodist Church.
On January 1, 1926, she was
married to Tom Box who
preceded her in death in
1950.
She is survived by four
grandchildren, Mrs. Kandee
Howard, Bill Box, both of
Tallahassee, Florida, M. T.
Box of Magnolia, New
Jersery, Tom Box of Ft.
Walton Beach, Florida.
Three sisters, Mrs. Willie
Mae Eubanks of Nevada,
Mrs. Lillian K. Shaw and
Mrs. Margaret Tassos, both
of Dallas, two brothers, Tom
Kirby of Mesa, Arizona and
Henry Kirby of Ennis, Texas.
Pallbearers were Charles R.
Kirby, Charlie J. Kirby, C. B.
Kirby, Randy Tassos, Kirby
Tassos and Bobby Quinn.
