The Willie Kyselkas and
Mary Podseldnik enjoyed a
covered disih supper and
dominoes at the Sul Ross
Senior Citizjens Center in
Waco last Monday evening.
Little Gar^ Nickles was
honored with a surprise
birthday pirty Saturday
evening Sept. 17 in the
home of his great-
grandparentsL the Burian
Christians. Gkry is the son of
Mrs. Debbi* Nickles of
Bartlesville, (Oklahoma and
grandson of the Kenneth
Greens of DeWey, Okla. He
is the great-grandson of Mrs.
Marie Green of Penelope.
Others attending the party
were Gary’s uncle, Cecil
Green of Oklahoma and
cousins, the Doyle Greens
of Austin. It was a pleasure
for all to help Gary celebrate
his eighth birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph
Lander of Hubpard and Mrs.
Elsie Geltmeiej- of Penelope
dropped by to visit with
Lanet a short while Friday
Willie and Betty Kyselka
spent a pleasant evening
Wednesday at the Ben
Schroeders at Ross playing
“42." They were at the Sul
Ross Senior Citizens Center
in Waco on Thursday
evening.
The Kyselkas visited his
mom last Monday as she got
to return to her home after
spending several days in a
rest home, recuperating
from a fall.
A birthday party was
given in honor of little
Tammy Dudik Saturday
evening in the Eugene
Dudik home in Birome
They served ice cream and
cake to a bunch of family
and friends and Tammy says
thanks to all that came to
share her third birthday
party and for the gifts she
received.
Mrs. Randy Clifford of
Austin came to the Willie
Kyselkas Saturday and she
and her mom went
shopping in Waco in the
afternoon. Diann left about
noon Sunday. Her husband
had taken the tjoys on a
weekend fishing tpp.
Donna Klanika spent
Saturday night with Rhonda
Dunlap and they and others
went skating in Hillsboro
Saturday evening
The Steve Loveckys
helped host their parents
50th wedding anniversary
Sunday, Sept. 25 with a
reception from 2-4 in the
fellowship hall of the Oak
Lawn Baptist Church in
Bellmead. Sunday was also
Steve’s mother’s birthday so
they had a double
celebration. Mr. and Mrs.
G.W. Tyler are members of
the Oak Lawn Baptist
Church.
Mary Podsednik and the
Mike Steinochers helped
with the Tours Bazaar
Sunday and reported having
a very good attendance.
Mrs. Willie Kyselka,
Lillian Zatopek of Mt. Calm
and Agnes Konvicka of
Penelope attended the
bazaar at Tours Sunday.
Willie Kyselka had to work.
The Roger Andersons
and Bryan took the Rev.
Cecil Andersons to the
Brazos Festival in Waco
Saturday. Carol Anderson s
sister was in the MCC
musical group and she sang.
They enjoyed the Brazos
Festival, then went on to
Abbott and were at the
Abbott Annual Festival for
awhile.
The Willie Kyselkas went
to the Valley Monday and
will return Tuesday.
The Austins went to Ft.
Worth Sunday to visit her
sister, Ola Bell Haynes in the
Harris Hospital. She wil be
having surgery Tuesday
morning. More next week
on her progress. Barbara
Suratt met us there and
Susan and May were there.
The Adolph Landers were
in the Birome area Monday.
Mrs. Lander had been for a
check up in Waco.
