RVOS Lodge Number 46 held their social and annual election of
officers on Sunday, October 6 at Cottonwood Hall. We had a great
turnout. A spaghetti dinner was served. Members brought pastries.
I was re-elected president, Raymond Marek was re-elected vice-
president, Lance Suliins did not seek re-election as secretary-
treasurer and Edith Brem was elected in his place. Our next meeting
and social will be December 7 and will be held in conjunction with the
100th anniversary of RVOS Lodge Number 46. Thank you Robert
Dobecka.
Robert Dobecka always tells me he is goingto say something about
me at one of our RVOS meetings - so far, so good. No telling what he
would say, but I have known Robert for many years, probably since
I've been 18 years old. He came to my dad's bar and he and a couple
of friends would drink a beer or two and "shoot the bull." The love of
his life, Lydia, has always been at his side for so many years. I can
call their house and talk for hours. Lydia had a close call a few
months ago. She looks great and is feeling really good. My thoughts
and great health for Lydia.

tour of homes co-sponsored by
the Monolithic Dome Institute

seven miles east of Clifton, will
be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

dometour. Admission is $2 per
person or $3 per family.
Monolithic domes are round,
steel-reinforced, concrete build-
ings known for their energy effi-
ciency, durability and strength.
They can cost as much as 50
percent less to heat and cool than
traditional structures of the same
size, and are strong enough to
withstand tornadoes, hurricanes
and even earthquakes. The tour
is designed to raise awareness
about these homes, which are
quickly gaining popularity.
"I wanted to give the general
public the opportunity to get a
first-hand look at Monolithic
Dome homes, and hear about
their advantages from people who
actually live in one," said David.
B. South, president of the Mono-
lithic Dome Institute.
Anne DeMoss of the Mono-
lithic Dome builders Association
said the home show will show-
case all kinds of Monolithic
Domes, from luxury houses to
weekend getaways. "We will have
dome homes open for tours from
Idaho all the way down to
Florida," DeMoss said. "I can't
think of a better way to inform
the public about how versatile
these homes can be."
